About Me

I've always been a word girl.

I fell in love with reading at a very early age, and I've been lucky enough to make a living out of working with words.

I got my official start in the sales department at the late, great Altitude Publishing in the Canadian Rockies. I later published two books for Altitude.

For several years, I promoted tourism in my beautiful adopted home town of Canmore, both through my job managing the local destination marketing organization and as a freelance writer.

During three years in the marketing department at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, I honed my writing, editing, and project management skills as an integral part of the development team. Together we raised millions of dollars to enable artists to attend Banff Centre programs.

Nowadays, as a freelance writer and editor, I get to learn about amazing destinations, collaborate with super-cool, creative people, and contribute to incredible stories.

When I'm not writing or editing, I spend my days reading (obviously), exploring the amazing Comox Valley and all around Vancouver Island, learning to play guitar, gardening, and travelling and hanging out with my family.
